The association needs chairmen for:
  • Hospitality - to coordinate our welcoming new neighbors.
  • K.I.D.S. - to coordinating information occasionally door-to-door.
  • Outreach - to facilitate non-native English speaking neighbors participation and translate fliers.
We also need someone to help maintain the Olde Forge sign area and Olde Forge Neighborhood Watch block captains.

Contact Karla Leavelle (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

For Neighborhood Watch, contact Paula McKinley (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for Olde Forge and Jim Giammo, 703.978.4946, for Surrey Square.

We know that most of our civic association members will read this newsletter online. However, we have been distributing the printed version to ensure that those who prefer to have it hard copy will receive it.

In an effort to "Go Green," this will be our last full distribution of a hard copy newsletter. However, not everyone has a computer, and some people prefer a hard copy. If you desire to continue to receive a hard copy please contact Molly Sharkey at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 703.978.4946 and the communications committee will deliver future hard copies only to those who request it.

K.I.D.S. is our Key Information Distribution System for delivery of fliers and newsletters. We want to thank our volunteers for their frequent and much appreciated participation. The following volunteers delivered a flier last month, and we hope, this newsletter a month later.

  • The Bonner family
  • Branson and Austin Leonard
  • Edward Pan
  • Harold and Theresa Planetkamp
  • Jeremy and Miles Maline
  • Julia and Sam Guy
  • The Keppler Family
  • Matthew Firsching
  • Spencer and Rachel Copp
  • and new to the group... the Curran family

Also, thanks to the Burrusses and the Jacksons for your help in the past.
New volunteers are welcome. Contact Molly Sharkey 703-978-4946 or email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
